Marqués de Riscal Verdejo 100% organic, new look, same essence

 

Marqués de Riscal Verdejo 100% organic presents a new look to coincide with the launch of the 2023 vintage which represents a return to its origins.

The new design of the label, which has been brought up to date, respects the spirit of its original label, highlighting each of its elements and preserving the hallmarks of identity that the winery has maintained since its first vintage in Rioja in 1862.

A new look for a true classic which, since its was first produced at the start of the 1970s, is undoubtedly one of the principal representatives, globally, of the Denominación de Origen Rueda and the Verdejo grape. A label which showcases the classic elements of the original, thereby preserving the purest essence of what was the forerunner of the wines from this area of the Duero.


Back to its roots


Marqués de Riscal began this return to its origins when in 2018 company's estate-owned vineyards  in the Denominación de Origen Rueda received organic certification. Making wine with minimal intervention means  that the primary character of the grape variety has a much greater presence in the wines, making them more original and authentic. A return to its origins in order to regain the purest essence of the grape.

And that is how the Marqués de Riscal range of 100% organic white wines came about, to which Marqués de Riscal Verdejo was added in 2019, including the 100% organic logo in its label, and which represents the  philosophy of the company and its commitment to organic cultivation methods.     


New look, same essence


The new label keeps to the original form of the labels of the wines of Herederos del Marqués de Riscal since 1862, the year in which the first wine from the company was bottled in Rioja.

Also, the new label showcases the Verdejo variety, highlighting the indigenous Rueda grape.

The new label also highlights the Denominación de Origen Rueda, where Marqués de Riscal constructed their second bodega in 1972 and promoted the creati0on of the appellation.

The new image also highlights the 100% organic logo, which represents the company's philosophy.

This new label also represents the essence of the wine itself, a fresh, balanced wine, attractive, delicious and bright.
