This wine is made from grapes sourced from centuryold vineyards where different varieties grow side by side, reflecting the traditional viticulture of Rioja Alavesa.
A masterful creation by Marqués de Riscal, released under the Barón de Chirel label—an iconic wine firmly established as a pioneering brand and benchmark for Rioja wines—which will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its first vintage, the 1986 harvest, in 2026.
With the same artisanal and innovative spirit that, forty years ago, led the Rioja winery to revive the greatness of Médoc-style Reservas, Marqués de Riscal now launches Barón de Chirel Rioja Viñas Centenarias: an exceptional white wine that stands out for its quality, elegance and singular character, defined above all by its origin in centenary vineyards.
